The Friends of DAAB are in the process of collecting stories & memorabilia relating to the WWII prewar, war and post war activities of the DeRidder Army Air Base and how they affected the families of the local community. We are also interested in the stories of the men and women who passed thru the DAAB during the WWII years. We’d like to hear the how & where of your WWII military experiences, your contribution to this pivotal period of American history and your take on those experiences today. We look forward to pulling up a chair and visiting with you in the original DAAB Hangar, built in the early 1940’s. If you are unable to visit and would like to share your recollections, send us an e-mail or give us a call. Watch this website grow as we upload our research.
